Dead Space 2 - Nobody can hear you scream out there!
Visceral Games has done it again and with Dead Space 2 clearly shooting to the top of the horror genre once again. A dark, disturbing, and dense atmosphere with the sound that is sure to make you go through Dead Space 2 in hours of anguish. It's the little things that drive the player within Dead Space with the cold sweat from pouring from every pore. There is a brilliant recording of light, shadow effects, and sounds and movements in the background. Although repeated again and again, the shock moments never lose their effect. Eventually you realise just how much attention to detail Visceral Games put into their games. The graphics could be better, and the inclusion of the MP should be questioned, but the game remains perfect and tells the story very well. I can only recommend Dead Space.

Sheer Terror
Its dark inside. Vapours of mist and lances of light reflect off the cold dead insides of an abandoned ship. As you walk forward pensively one step at a time you listen with hyperacusis for any sound of life because you know they aren't there to greet you with a warm mug of hot chocolate. The atmosphere in Dead Space 2 is brimming with tension and fear. At a moments notice you can switch from cautious exploration to fighting within an inch of your life. These creatures are straight from the deepest reaches from space - and they don't like you much at all. The odds are eerily stacked against you but in addition to courage you have a slew of eviscerating weaponry ready to dismember even the most ghastly of creatures. Dead Space 2 supports some visionary advances in the use of floating HUD display icons and path finding abilities. The graphics are stunning and story engaging. I can't remember the last time I was this scared. Test yourself by playing with the lights off, a real gem!

Among the best games ever
Dead Space 2 is awesome. To be honest, I have never been a big fan of any survival or horror games. Sure I played Silent Hill when the series was not as bad as it is today. My real interest in such games was sparked when Alan Wake was released - I was working as a project manager on this project for 4 years. I even bought my Xbox for that game. A bit later I becided to try out Dead Space and absoulutely fell in love with the game. Right now I'm playing Dead Space 2 and love it even more than the first one. It's not finished yet and I don't want it to end. Everything is perfect - atmosphere, graphics (you have to love those high resolution textures), level design, variety, etc. I'm also happy about the fact that they also improved some small "issues" I noticed in Dead Space. Don't want to talk about any to avoid spoilers. I also like the fact that there aren't any loading screens between chapters - this makes the gameplay more intense. In the first game you felt safe when you saw a train - that meant that the chapter was over. The second game is pretty much seamless, so you are always waiting for something bad to happen. I wouldn't call Dead Space scary, but this one is more like it. I only get scared when I receive some invoices - but never when playing a game or watching a movie. Dead Space 2 managed to scare me at least 2 times already - thanks to audio which is perfect as well. Sure there are some things you might consider not exactly perfect. For me that's: 1. Outfits. I bought two outfits and the second one was on me for quite a while. When the third one appeared in the shop - I bought it for 20,000 credits and was disappointed - my second one was a bit better. Don't quite understand the logic - new items should always be better especially considering they cost so much. 2. Save stations. There are tons of checkpoints, but save stations are a bit odd. You may find only one in some chapters and you may find three close to each other in others (and no serious fights happen between these 3). I guess that's just different level designers planning their levels... Both "issues" are so tiny that I can't lower my score. Dead Space 2 is an awesome game that deserves a solid 5 stars.

Ding Ding, Round 2
So Isaac Clarke returns to fight another 'Necromorph' infestation. Dead Space 2 comes with new enemies like 'The Pack', new jaw dropping visuals and environments for Isaac to explore as well as using it to his advantage. Enjoy a gripping story with fantastic actors like Gunner Wright (Isaac Clarke). You won't be able to help but get sucked into this game and listen to all the in game logs and be chilled to the bone when listened. This game will make you creep round corners looking out for enemies, and the music adds to the tension even more.

Breathtaking
This game is amazing the graphics are brilliant the story draws you in and has some big twists and turns that will keep you playing and playing. The campaign is however short and the multi player is not great but do not let this put you off 9/10

This sequel is scary good
After completing dead space 1, I wanted more. Sadly it took some time for dead space 2 to come out, I had almost lost track of the story and setting. Inmediately after I started playing Dead Space 2, the whole setting and story came back to me. It was like I never stopped playing dead space 1. The whole game is action packed and more than advances the dead space story. I can definitely reccomend this to everyone who liked the first game. With more content coming to the game even now, it will make you come back for more!
