DiRT 3: Complete Edition is even better than its predecessors, this game offers everything to motorsport fans. If you are in search of a complete (yet really decently priced) racing game, you've found your goal. Rally, raids, baja and Gymkhana, with impressive tracks, graphics and tremendous amount of cars, Dirt 3 can ride alongside Forza 4 or Gran Turismo with no shame. Various events and a really long career will keep you addicted to your screen for hours and hours in single and multiplayer. Not to mention that this version comes with every DLC ever released for the game, adding even more hours of gameplay and fun. If you liked Dirt, Dirt 2 go for it. If you didn't play Dirt before but liked Need for Speed or Grid then it's an absolute must buy. From a gamer's point of view you can totally take this game blindfolded and have no regrets, in terms of rally it's the best. From a more casual point of view, don't hesitate, the game adaptive mechanisms are suitable for everyone! An absolute must buy both for 360 and PS3.
Very enjoyable game with a lot less of the gung-ho, US-centric X-games inspired rallying that was Dirt2. Still has a long way to go to be truly authentic to rallying but more of the classic cars has at least delved in to the history of rallying since the '50's. New locations and weather have added a great feel to the game with places like Finland, Norway and Kenya keeping the "spirit" of rallying fully evident - as well as added snow and night rallies. The super special stages are exciting to play in split screen multiplayer - another aspect of the game which outdoes the previous iteration.
A marvelous dance-music soundtrack impresses, as does the fact that it is simply one of the best-looking driving games ever. Initially, it pays to mess around with the driving assists. Novices will find the Intermediate difficulty rather tricky (although you do get Flashbacks, enabling you to erase mistakes by rewinding time), and the Casual setting is too easy we selected casual then turned off most of the assists. There's a fairly standard leveling-up system in which earning Reputation points by doing well in events opens up new events and cars. Despite its fantasy-sport emphasis, it has an underlying stamp of authenticity it still requires you to adhere to the basics of rallying, keeping things smooth, braking early and balancing the throttle to get satisfying four-wheel drifts going. Dirt 3 has come a long way from its straight-up rallying roots: it may still employ rally cars, but mostly as a means of engaging in a rather thrilling sport shot through with 21st-century attitude that would most likely see you arrested if you tried it in real life.
DiRT 3: Complete Edition is easily the best driving game of the current generation and probably a few before too. You can easily adjust the difficulty to whatever level you desire so it's great fun regardless of how into driving games you are. The complete edition comes with all the DLC, including the fun of Gymkhana in a Mini Cooper. This is great value for money!
DiRT 3: Complete Edition has been improved far more than the previous game, Dirt 2. There are more cars and tracks to compete on than the previous game. Also, the complete edition extends the fun by adding even more to an already great game. Due to there being more cars, tracks and events, this game is much less repetitive than the previous installment in the series.
If you liked Dirt 1 and 2 you are going to love DiRT 3: Complete Edition. The graphics are really crisp and there are different levels of difficulty. You don't need to be an experienced driver to enjoy this game as it can push you to your limits either way. Also, there is a pretty good variety of tracks in different countries so the game doesn't get repetitive.
This game is the best rally game to date in my opinion. The graphics are super realistic and the difficulty of the races makes the victories feel real. I found this game boring at the start to be honest as I wasn't used to the overly sensitive steering compared to Forza Motorsport 4, however it doesn't take very long to get used to.
I decided it was time to get a new rally game for my Xbox 360 and, after much internet searching and deliberation, Dirt 3 seemed like the perfect choice. The marriage of technical excellence with a vast choice of cars, tracks and rally-based disciplines meant it was a game I wasn't going to tire of quickly. On Zavvi I found this, DiRT 3: Complete Edition, which contained, on the disc, 7 of the 9 add-on packs and the whole package cost less than half of the vanilla download from XBox Live. It really was no competition. The game is epic and I am now in rally heaven! Whatever your skill level and your desire for driving games, I guarantee you will not be disappointed by this purchase. Now just let me have one more go.
Dirt 3 Complete Edition includes all the DLC directly on the disc, but there is still a code to redeem to play online, and is one of the best racing games of this generation, probably the best game if you are looking for rally. The graphics are good, with vehicles fully damageable (from the broken window to the loss of a tire),there are many events mixed very well, I bought the game mainly for all the gymkana stuff. The single player campaign offers more about 200 races, the multiplayer is still populated but sometimes I can't find player to play with. There is also local and system link multiplayer if you want to play with friends.
Having played the previous Dirts' in the series, I waited until the complete edition came out before getting Dirt 3. All of the extra DLC is on the disc so you don't have to fill up your hard drive with more gumpf because the developers were either too lazy or too cheap to put it on the disc. There is only one code that needs entering for the multiplayer to work effectively meaning there is no resale value for the game. The actual game is what you come to expect from a Codemasters racing game and is only let down by the Gymkhana levels.
Dirt 3 continues with the theme of rally simulation and allows the gamer to be immersed in a world of rally! The simulation gives a sense of realism that is not rivaled by any other game. In addition the complete edition (with the paid extras) is plenty enough vehicles and stages to keep you entertained for the foreseeable future. Would make a brilliant addition to any gamers collection!
