Dynasty Warriors has always been one of my favorite franchises, and in the recent years the game has been burying itself further and further into the ground for me. Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce brings what I loved about the series back, fun. The previous games were washed out, repeating the same old levels with barely any new characters to mess around with. Strikeforce blows that out the water, each mission is never the same and even the old levels have been redesigned, with greater customisation for the characters, such as new abilities, secondary weapons can be any weapon in the game (rather than just a bow) and upgrading your own city. They have outdone themselves by a mile. Strikeforce also includes something new, and great to the series, co-op. Four player co-op has been implimented into the game, now battling the hardest enemies or generally just messing about has gotten a lot more fun, especially when you're with friends. It's simple to reuse the old material, it's why a lot of games nowadays do it. Using the same characters, missions and maps for sequals does not make a game better, if anything it just makes it drag on since it's been done before. I'm glad Strikeforce changed that about the previous games, and has added such a great feature in co-op. Definitely one of the best purchases from Koei in a long time.
