Far Cry 3 players step into the shoes of Jason Brody, a man alone at the edge of the world, stranded on a mysterious tropical island cut off from civilization. In this savage paradise where lawlessness and violence are the only sure thing, players will dictate when, where and how the events of the game unfold. Players will slash, sneak, detonate and shoot their way across the island in a world that has lost all sense of right and wrong.

Far Cry 3 is, make no mistake about it, the best game of 2012. I can't seem to stick to finishing any games recently due to a lack of time and too many hobbies, but since getting Far Cry 3 as a Christmas gift, I spent a week solid hunting rare animals, collecting hidden treasures and discovering the final resting places of Japanese soldiers, concealed in pillbox bunkers since World War 2. FC3 is vivid, colourful, bold and most importantly, open. You can spend hours driving from radio tower to radio tower, climbing the treacherous structures to reveal a small corner of your map and still only scratch the surface. The land is rich with greenery, wildlife and danger. A few steps into the undergrowth and you could find yourself face to face with a leopard, tiger or even a rabid warthog. The action is frantic if you like to go in guns blazing, or slow and full of suspense if you prefer to play the Rambo figure. Whether you want to be an assassin or a spartan, you won't be disappointed. Just remember one thing - always carry some health potions. I've been caught out far too many times by wandering leopards for my liking.
Ive never played Far cry 1 or 2. I saw Far Cry 3 and decided to buy it. I was in big shock, It is the best game plot Ive ever seen. My sister even watched me play! If you are looking for a game that has a unique plot, extraordinary singleplayer and insane multiplayer, this is the game.
Far Cry 3 is my first first person shooter on Xbox 360. I never was a big player of shooters, so FC3 is pretty challenging for me. But the freedom which is given to you to walk through the game is great. That's the best thing on FC3 - you build your own game experience and story. For me, it's one of the best games of 2012.
Far Cry 3, as said by many others, can be considered the "Skyrim" of the modern FPS. There is plenty to do, quite a bit of customisation, and a strong storyline. Not to mention a game changing decision that can be made to affect your ending of the game. You pretty much get to play the game how you want to play it. Sneaky, guns blazing, or a mixture of both, is all up to you. I'm glad I picked it up and am looking forward to beating it a second time.
Never played any of the Far Cry's episode before, but this one seems to me as an excellent game. Great locations, great weapons, the main story and the secondary missions will allow you to play for a very long time. You can run, swim, drive and fly everywhere on the island and interact with the local wilderness. Highly recommended!!!
Far Cry 3 is a big surprise for me. After the disastrous Far Cry 2, Ubisoft comes back with the very, very good Far Cry 3. With a beautiful, huge map, interesting backgrounds with awesome gameplay and a charismatic bad guy. A real success! I never got bored of the solo campaign! One bad point however is the co-op campaign is really not as exciting as the solo campaign.
Far Cry 3 is great. The island itself and the creatures that inhabit it are the stars of the game here, as you wander around a lush jungle not knowing what's around the next corner. It has a touch of the drama series Lost about it, with a bit of mysticism thrown into the mix as you discover the secrets of this uncharted territory. There's plenty of ways to tackle enemies to suit your style, whether it's pure stealth or outright chaos. Some of my best moments in the game include checking a camp out from every angle, tagging all the enemies, and as I prepared to go to work, a tiger would come out of nowhere and do the job for me. The random, little moments are what make the game so good, ultimately. Some aspects of the missions can get a bit samey, but there's so much scope to just not bother with them and set your own course. I'm not one for online multi-player really, so a meaty single player shooter like this is very recommended.
Far Cry 3 was released on my birthday and what a present it is. I had pre-ordered it a while ago, but got to actually playing it only last week. I still have more than 50% of the story missions left, but that's mainly because I'm running while hunting and liberating outposts. Everything is great, starting from impressive graphics to awesome characters and ending with how great the environment is and how much fun you can get from just exploring. Far Cry 2 was extremely boring (but I managed to finish it) and this one is so much better. I would even call it one of the best games I have ever played. You can take different approaches to missions and taking over outposts - I prefer a stealthy one and it actually works here. The whole game feels like something happening in the real life, and it really makes you think before acting.
Far Cry 3 is the best in graphic, story and soundtrack I've played in a long time. The story is like a good movie with over time. Apart from the main story there are a lot of things to do and explore on the island. I recommend to play the game on a high difficulty cause on low ones its too easy an doesn't challenge you.
Far Cry 3 features an extremely good storyline and is extremely fun to play. However the game didn't seem to give me much closure to the final outcome that occurred after the choice I was made to make. An extra cut-scene showing 'what happened next' might have been nice. Also once the game has been completed you can free-roam, however there is only a few enemies remaining and all you can really do is complete short side-quests that you haven't completed already and gather collectables which can be a tedious task. Overall this is an excellent game and I don't regret buying it for a second!
I bought Far Cry 3 as I'd heard many people talking about the older ones and how good the newest one was. I thought I'd give it a try after looking at a couple of videos online and I wasn't disappointed. It's a role playing, first person shooter, adventure game, all rolled into one. You can't go wrong with this. If you like any of those three genres you're going to like it. I'm looking forward to playing it even more. I would definitely recommend buying it!
