Halo: Reach, developed exclusively for Xbox 360 by acclaimed developer Bungie, is the blockbuster prequel to the best-selling Xbox franchise of all time. It represents the culmination of Bungie's 10 years of experience crafting groundbreaking Halo games that have raised expectations for what can be achieved in a video game.
In Halo: Reach, players experience the fateful moments that forged the Halo legend. It's the story of Noble Team, a squad of heroic Spartan soldiers, and their final stand on planet Reach, humanity's last line of defense between the terrifying Covenant and Earth. This darker story is echoed by grittier visuals amid a backdrop of massive, awe-inspiring environments. Characters, enemies and environments are rendered in amazing detail by an all-new engine designed to deliver epic-scale encounters against the cunning and ruthless Covenant.
Once the campaign is over, the battle continues online with an unparalleled multiplayer experience that expands on the award-winning suite of features that helped define the Xbox LIVE experience.
The Halo: Reach multiplayer beta, on track to be the largest beta program of its kind on any console, is expected to see millions of participants when it begins in May. Players can access the multiplayer beta on Xbox LIVE through the Halo 3: ODST disc.

Excelent game / Must have
This game has one of the best story lines I´ve ever seen. It has a complete offer of gameplay modes: Campaign, Firefight, Multiplayer, and Map editor (Forge). You can only spend an hour playing Campaign on your own or with friends, on split-screen or online. Theatre is another mode where you can see you in-game videos. I fully recommend this to everyone who has Xbox 360. This game is masterpiece.

Multiplayer fun
I mostly only used the multiplayer options. What I like is that you can play with friends through the campaign, and it's a lot of fun. And of course the option to play online with random people on the internet is cool though standard today. Some of the options here are not available in many other shooter games.

The Classic of the Xbox World
I don't know the earlier version of this game, I owned my Xbox just for 1 month from now. But I heard too much about Halo before. So I bought this game for £12.95 which is higher than the current price. Overall, I liked the scenery and the game-play as well as the graphics. It is engrossing enough. You can spend hours of time playing with this game.

One of the best Halo's
After being disappointed with Halo3 ODST, I was happily surprised with Halo: Reah. One of the best Halo single player campaigns (although I played it in co-op, which I can recommend), much better then Halo 3. Haven't spend a lot of time with the multiplayer though. This is a must have if you like Halo; buy it if you're not into Halo, but like to play a nice sci-fi shooter on the Xbox 360.

Best Halo Yet
Halo Reach is easily the best Halo yet. If you have a bunch of Xbox Live friends then it is even better as you can team up to play the campaign co-op or multiplayer. All the great action typical of Halo plus some good vehicle sections. A must have!

Halo: Reach
A phenomenal return to what made Halo great. Think the first Halo on the original behemoth Xbox, and the nostalgia comes rushing back. This is not as might have been perceived, as a stepping-stone filler title - it stands in its own right as a fine game, but also accessible to all those that have perhaps never played Halo, and might be confounded by the linked plot of the previous episodes. A very balanced, and dare I say it, 'fun' FPS that will be a memorable to fans of the series or new-comers alike.

Halo: Reach is awesome
As my title says: "Halo: Reach is awesome". The singleplayer can be played by both rookies to Halo (like me) and by pro's of this game. After you played the game at the lower difficulties, try to play it on Legendary with all skulls on. Badass. When you get tired of the campaign, try the new Firefight. It's good, especially playing with friends; over Xbox Live or split screen. Talking about Xbox Live, the multiplayer experience of this game was my first on Xbox Live. It got me hooked!

This game is the best of the Halo series so far. Being a Spartan III encourages more thinking as the playable character is not as strong as the Chief. This adds more realism to the game as rather than just charge into a horde of covenant, it is advisable to take cover. Also, this is the only game so far where you are part of a team of spartans, allowing for team tactics.

Halo reach is a really good game but you can find yourself getting bored as you get to the rank of major like I am. But that is just with the multiplayer there is also the campaign that was a big thrill for me because it was alot better then the halo 3 and odst campaign and the story line was very easy to understand as it all happens before the Halo events. You start the campaign as a spartan 3 solider noble 6 who was a lone wolf before he join noble team. But if you finsh the campaign and you dont have anything else to do just play a bit of firefight 2.0 or maybe a bit of forge 2.0 with the awesome forge world map.

Fantastic Send-Off
Despite the slow opening for the campaign, it picks up momentum at an extreme rate until the final conclusion. Although veteran fans will no doubt already know the outcome of this game, it still manages to pull it off in a very stylish way. Multiplayer is constantly updated with new challenges and playlists giving the player plenty to think about. The new Forge mode is a godsend, making superb quality maps no longer requires hours of careful alignment and loss of hair. Overall, a very high quality game that will bring you back for more and more.

Discover where it all began
Halo: Reach is supposed to be Bungie's conclusion to the Halo story. From the first tones at the main screen you already know what Reach will be about. Despair, anger, fear. You step in the shoes of Noble Six, a Spartan-III soldier who is tasked with the hopeless mission of defending the planet Reach from a Covenant armada. Where Bungie in previous Halo installments dropped the ball story-wise, Reach has arguably the best narrative of the entire series. The story grabs you from the first lines and never lets you go. The action is not very different from previous Halo games, although Bungie has definitely improved the details to make for an even more challenging AI. The weapons we have come to love have been tweaked, making them look more aggressive and powerful. The maps show great variety, giving you the chance to even fly a spacecraft and do some dogfighting. Multiplayer is again a masterpiece, longing the lifespan of the game for years to come. Altough the amount of maps is a bit small, the Forge game mode lets every player adjust the official maps into a very own personal version. If you like a good FPS, mixed in with great art, story and gameplay. Halo: Reach is exactly the game you should be buying this year.

Halo and Zavvi = Awesome!
First off i just want to give a great thumbs up to Zavvi as i got the game early and for the cheapest price i could find so really cant ask for more than that and will be using them in the future for sure! Reach itself is immense, its improved on Halo 3 in every area and the rewards system does just what it says on the tin so you keep playing trying to earn a bit better piece of armour. The campaign is the best yet and a great few hours of action and is interesting the whole way through!

Dead End Kyo
I have been playing the game for more than a few days now & it certainly does live up to the Halo universe standards. The story fits in nicely to tell the beginning of this amazing series but I can't help but feel that the game itself has gone 2 steps forward & 1 step back on the weapon & technology of the timeline but none the less the game provides a really statisfying gameplay with more weapons & vechicles to choose from. The character customization is in my opinion one of the best features of the game itself aside from the massive forge world, with more pieces of armour to choose from & even some of the smaller details can be changed like the visor colour. Whether your new to the Halo series or a hardcore fan, this is a definite must for any gamer.

Best Halo since Halo 1
Only had a few hours on this so the 4 stars could go up to 4.5 or 5 depending on how this one pans out, i've had and grown up with all of the halo series and still remember how great the first title was, this is the prequel to the first game and lots more detail has been put into this edition. Some great battle scenes, lots more weapons, excellent story, and top graphics. You now can drive just about any vehicle in the game and there's different routes you can journey through depending on how quick you arrive at checkpoints. Really enjoying this game so far and the online game is meant to be great fun too- maybe this years cod beater?? Buy it!

Amazing
I have been a fan of the Halo universe or a decade now and waited with great anticipation to see how much of a change this latest instalment in the series would have. To my delight Bungie has made a game I personally feel tops all other games in its genre, COD MW2 incuded. The graphical update is obvious from the start, and you can't help stopping from time to time to see the wonderous landscapes and detailed areas you move through. The difference in quality from Halo 3 is truly astounding. The sounds of gunfire and voice acting are also top notch, you really know when your letting off a rocket at a covenant banshee. In terms of story and gameplay Reach has it all. The story is compelling and draws you into the fight for humanities survival, while the combat system forces you to think carefully before engaging the enemy. A vast array of weaponary gives you almost unlimited ways to deal with a situation, and that means each play through is different. To summarise, Reach is an amazing game-fully worth every penny you spend on it. After playing this I can only hope that there will be another Halo game in the future as it would be horrible to see such a good game and story disappear.

Halo Reach is all I hoped for
Wow, what a game, I have been so impressed with the quality of this game and it looks like it will last longer than most FPS games out now. Halo has always been a favourite of mine but I have to say after waiting so long it did not disappoint... long live Halo, I have written more detail on the GadgetsRated but this has to be the best game so far this year.
