    Description

Lost Planet 2 picks up 10 years since the events of the original adventure and the landscape has evolved dramatically. With the success of terraforming activities, the planet's ice has begun to melt, giving way to lush tropical jungles and other new environments. The story has advanced beyond Wayne Holden as players will now follow the exploits of their own customised snow pirates on their quest to seize control of E.D.N III. Players will move their heroes through different stories creating a truly unique and interactive experience. With this concept, gamers will have the opportunity to engage in the story in a more dynamic way as plot threads evolve from various perspectives.

Beyond the deep single-player mode, Lost Planet 2 is loaded with one the most extensive multiplayer campaign seen in a shooter to date. The intense and action packed campaign mode comes with the ability to form teams of up to 4 players online to clear mission objectives with friends.

    • Take on Lost Planet 2's Akrid with bonus characters: Gears of War veterans Marcus and Dominic plus Resident Evil's Albert Wesker

    Great online play

First of all I think that this game works really well as a co-op and online game,I think that the story mode could have been better though as when you play on you're own you are given three AI team mates, they are all called random stupid names and never get in the VS with can be really annoying, but the apart from the AI I think that the story is good, perhaps not as good as the first game but still enjoyable with a slot machine to spend credits from the levels make it repayable and rewards you with weapons and equipment that can be used on the online.

    planet of the lost

It is a good wait after the first Lost Planet as for myself who is a fan of shoot 'em up adventure I can definitely give this game 5 stars. Others might disagree, but I've been playing this game since the day i got it and i never get bored. Grahics are ok, gameplay is excellent, the enemies are unbelievable..loved it.

    great online, decent offline

I can't believe all the bad reviews this game's got. It's not going to be the game of the year, but it's really nice and addictive. A lot of stuff and bonus items to unlock during the gameplay and texture is also very nice. The offline campaign is clearly an add on, because this game was thought to be played online, both coop or versus. My advice is to give it a try, especially for this cheap price.

    Multiplayer carnage!

When you are blasting away with four pals this game is the business. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because on 1 player it doesn't fare quite so well. Still a belting game though, if you have Xbox Live and a few mates you need this in your life!

    Lost Planet 2

A game that is meant for lost planet 1 fans it delivers all that the original game should have been and more. I was more than impressed with all the customisation offered and the new weaponry. Definitely worth the price. The free figurine was an added bonus as well. A must buy for any Capcom fans.

    Planet Awesome

So the sequel to lost planet, excited? Well you should be if you're not, and if you are? Get more excited. You follow a few squads of pirates, not the kind that swing swords around and shout “Ar matey!” But more the kind that swing guns around and shout “Holy sh**t look at that!” Our awesome lot at Capcom continue to show us that they can make games like no other; fighting on trains, space ships, dangling off the side of builds, this game has all the fun-gunning you could think of. And more. The game is split up into 6 episodes which contain 3 or 4 chapters each. Most episodes follow a different squad, from ex-militant soldiers to desert troops that are stuck in the middle of no where. Each episode will take you to something new, be it blizzards where you have to trust your radar and aim of it, or be it jumping from train to train in a desert, this game will always pack a punch of joy of awesome-ness and fun. Some episodes I can't help but feel were dragged on a lot, but it's all made up for because of how awesome it is! However, I do notice how much this needs the player to communicate with his team mates, I didn't have a team for the most part, and when I did it was one person. And my communications aren't all that great either. It's needed for everything from loading a certain gun to opening boxes. I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out how to customize my character for single player, even now after I've finished the game, the instruction manual didn't help me at all. If I can't play as Wesker in game I'll be pretty annoyed. Capcom recognizes it's loyal players by reading the games they have and giving them special characters, titles and more. For instance, my title is “Capcomaniac” Because I have so many Capcom games, I can run around online t-bagging while wearing a lego head from dead rising. As for the story? Well I didn't have a clue what was going on, it felt like the bits they didn't put in the xbox version but in the PS3 version were just left, with no filler at all so the story becomes hard to follow. I never really did like quick time events, if I'm doing something awesome in a game I would really like to be the one doing it, sadly this game isn't much different when it comes to quick time events, however I did see that there weren't that many, and when it comes to the really awesome parts, it leaves you to do it, such as navigating your way through a mine field. Most games would have “Hit X to not die!” Where as this makes the player shoot down all the mines, swoop left and right and, well it makes you feel pretty damn awesome. There are a mixed range of cut scenes, some truly awe-inspiring and some truly pointless, what really annoyed me is how Capcom seemed pretty care less that the PS3 has more in it, and didn't help xbox gamers understand how the story was unfolding, I learnt more in a trailer than the actual game. I never did get to use any of my special characters in campagin, so in conclusion this game is really for gamers who have xbox live and a few buddies to play with, it's just not the same on your own. And it would suck to hear that you can play Frank West but not be able to get on xbox live. Just to add to it the game erased my friends entire game, he still has his achievements but he has to play it again to finish the last episode, I'm quite sure my friend isn't stupid enough to erase it himself, then again if I've worn off on him he might be. So all in all I'm going to have to give this two scores: 4/5 for Co-Op and online, I know I gave it higher originally but I'm feeling like more of a tight arse now. 3/10 for single player, the game has really bad AI and it's just not as fun without having some friends comment on how big the Akrid ripping your face off is. Also I never got my achievement for finishing it on normal, those swine.
