When I received the game, I was first shocked a bit as I had overlooked the fact that this requires an XBox Gold membership, which I did not have, as I am not much of an online player... But since it had a 48 hours trial Gold membership onboard, I used the following weekend to test the game and quickly became hooked to it, so I had to get that Gold membership after all... So far I am still playing the easiest mode, as I rate fun higher than acchievement, my favourite plant is the Sunflower (as it matches the magician or priest a bit in fantasy games, as it combines combat with healing skills) and enjoy the match pretty much so far... Some negative things I see are: - full dependency on available online players (no problem as the game is very fresh right now) - so far no friends I can invite as they do not have the game, so I have to take what I get and sometimes bother with anarchic kids^^ - no single player option - sometimes the movement is not smooth, I have not found out if my internet connection or overloaded servers are the cause... That sounds like a slagging, doesn't it? Nah, it is not, the positive things are just too many to list ;-) At a fair price, this is a good game to get back to frequently, either for short sessions or for fingerbending marathons - your choice!
Absolutely love this game, haven't put it down since I got it. One of the best online multiplayers I've ever been on. Great humour, nice range of characters with their own unique skills, loads of different game types and more customisations than you can wave a dolphin gun at!! GET THIS GAME!!!
My sons aged 14 and 11 love this game. They loved the app version and they love the different format of the xbox 360 version. It's something that bridges the gap between a hormonal teenager and a younger brother who wants to still play with his older sibling without being an inappropriate scuzzy game you will have nightmares about. It was such amazing value too. Many games that keep them this enthralled are double the price. This game is well worth the investment.
Brought for my son for his 9th birthday and he hasn't stoped playing with it he loves it a great game for kids not to babyish but not all blood and guts the plants shoot the zombies with peas or sun rays depending on the plant the aim is to stop the zombies destroying the garden so just the right amount if action but not violent
