Makes Learning Guitar Fun

Rocksmith is easy enough to pick up, even for a beginner. It's got a pre song tuner which checks your string sounds, making sure you're in tune for whichever song you're playing next and guides you through string tuning etc. easily. There's lots of nice little touches like side games etc. that help you find your way around your guitar stings, and as you progress you get mini tutorial games which focus on skills from sustains to sliding notes. I would highly recommend this game for all levels of guitar players, especially those who are getting a little bored! The game plays well. It will take you a few tracks to work it all out in relation to the colour of the notes, the string they belong to and the fret you need to play, but trust me after half a dozen songs I had it all worked out, I just needed my fingers to find the strings and frets a little quicker but that will all come with practice! The only gripe I have about the game that knocks it down from 5 stars to 4 stars is that the software tries to gauge your ability! Now this can be frustrating at times because you'll play a song for the first time and it always starts of as easy to get you into the rhythm. But once I got the rhythm and hit 80+ % of the notes, the game stepped up the second time to where notes were flying at me at an obscene speed. I would love for the game developers to give you levels so you can play a track a few times on easy for instance, and allow you to step up to the next level yourself when you're ready to.

Excellent! Do not hesitate to get it!!!

Rocksmith is simply the best. My wife and 9 year old have never played guitar before, but now they can. It teaches you and you dont even know it. You just feel like youre playing a game but in fact you soon realise you can play the guitar from memory without even turning the Xbox on. On the other hand, I play to a very high standard and I still get a lot of fun from this. There are more downloadable songs available to keep you interested! Technically, there is no sound or picture lag and the in game modelling amps and effects sound good for software emulation. In short, if you just want a game to play, learn to play guitar or hone your existing skills then get this game.

Rock On

Hi guys, I have always been a rock fan and had dreams about moving on from air guitar. A few months ago I actually bought myself a 6 string lead electric and have been baffled ever since on how you get your fingers into those strange positions to actually get notes out of the thing. I bought Rocksmith and after just a few sessions I can now do some genuine sounding riffs. OK, I`ll never be a Gary Moor or a Santana, but it`s nice to actually get real notes out of the thing, and bear in mind I'm almost 69. If I can, then you can.
