E.T.the extra terrestial
E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (Includes Digital and UltraViolet Copy) is a well-loved family movie. It's very entertaining, and brings back good family memories. It's a must have for any Blu-ray collection.

excellent
I still remember when I was a kid and my dad took me to the movies to see E.T. Since English is not my native tongue, I didn't understand anything anybody said. But the movie somehow caught my imagination. I have seen it more than I can count since then and owning it on blu ray seemed like breathing to me. So I waited for the best deal and I found it (where else) on Zavvi. The picture is perfect, considering the movie is 30 years old, sound is OK. But this is not a movie you buy for effects, picture and sound quality. You buy it because it takes you back when you were just a kid playing and... well being a child. This movie made me doubt that we are alone. It's a classic and must be owned by anyone who grew up in the 80's.

Great Memories
What do I need to say about this movie to make you decide to buy. To be honest, nothing really. But, as a child when this movie was released, it was great, yet emotional - really tugs at the heart strings. As an adult, it hasn't changed. A simple but clever storyline. If you have children then this has to be something for your collection. You won't be disappointed. One thing though, just make sure you have a box of tissues to hand.

Old favourite
We all know the film, and the Blu-ray version only adds to its lustre. Good transfer quality of picture and sound.

classic
My son had mentioned that he had never seen E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, so when I saw it here for a good price I thought it would make a good stocking filler. It's a great film.

Excellent picture & sound, but missing Extended cut
This beloved movie comes on blu-ray remastered from the original 35mm negatives and coded in 1080p/AVC MPEG-4. Quality of video is pretty good considering the movie is from 1984. There is no artificial edge enhancing or grain removal preserving the original theatrical presentation. Some fans will miss the digitally tinkered extended cut of "E.T." previously available on DVD and should keep the disc since it also includes some extras not available on blu-ray. Over 2 hours of previous extras are included here and new special features include deleted scenes from aforementioned extended cut and 2 new documentaries totaling over an hour in length and containing new interviews and vintage behind the scenes footage. Audio shines in all 7.1 channels thanks to uncompressed DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 soundtrack, making John Williams hunting score even more enjoying.
