A tiny adventure of epic proportions
With the voices of Colin Farrell, Beyoncé Knowles and Amanda Seyfried, this animated adventure offered shed loads of talent but kind of left me wanting more. The story revolves around a teenager who is transported to a tiny realm where an 'epic' battle is being waged. When the good queen is killed, it is up to the teenager to transport her essence to safety whilst being pursued by the bad guys. The action and the animation are first rate, as are some of the more comedic moments but we all seen this type of movie before. Star Wars. Any 'alienated' teenager trying to connect with their father type of movie you would care to name. Admittedly, my two children thoroughly enjoyed it but I pray there isn't a sequel.
