After his father is killed in a tragic accident, young Jim Craig (Tom Burlinson) has to leave the mountains, where he has grown up, to look for work. He makes the acquaintance of grizzled prospector Spur, and Spur's more respectable brother Harrison (both played by Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas - Spartacus). When Jim falls for Harrison's daughter, however, the old man doesn't approve. But Jim is in love and won't be deterred. He will prove his worth, no matter what the challenge!

Great Classic Aussie Movie
A great Aussie movie that is good for the whole family. A good story that has comedy and some action but overall its just an easy going movie that anyone can enjoy both young and old. The video is a good improvement over DVD that still retains that film look and whilst the Australian DVD release of the movie had 5.1 sound, the 2 channel audio of the bluray sounds very good and the 5.1 is not missed as it is mostly a dialogue movie and the action scenes still sound good, if not better, when compared to the DVD. Its well worth the purchase to see and own this Aussie movie that has stood the test of time.
