In this special, set in late 1925 and early 1926, everyone reunites for Edith (Laura Carmichael) and Bertie (Harry Hadden-Paton)'s wedding on New Year's Eve while Anna (Joanne Froggatt) prepares to give birth. Elsewhere, Carson (Jim Carter) reveals to his wife that he suffers from a hereditary illness known as the palsy, which makes him question his role at Downton, and Lord Merton (Douglas Reith) tells Isobel (Penelope Wilton) about his own illness but retains his desire to marry her. However, his daughter-in-law Amelia (Phoebe Sparrow) keeps Isobel from seeing him. Will the year end happily for those at Downton Abbey?

Nice to now have the full set of 50+ episodes of the programme that was not be missed Just getting increasingly fed up with endless marketing emails from Zavvi!

Sad as it is the end of Downton
Bought for my wife as she has the whole lot of the dvds from the start of Downton, so this completes the set, great service from Zavvi was next day delivery not watched as yet as she is still watching the other dvds.

Downtown dvd
I ordered the Downton Abbey Finale as this was not due out until 28 December I knew I had to wait for it but to my surprise it arrived on Christmas Eve so we got to watch it early! Result. Ordering with Zavvi is easy and straight forward.
