Best series of its nature

Arguably the best series on this issue that there is. Much better than the L word in my opinion, in all respects. Firstly the acting is much better, secondly the storyline is much better and thirdly, it makes more of an effort to say something interesting rather than just ride off the controversy of covering such an explosive topic. Actually provides a fair bit of food for thought as well.

Witty and funny

A very clever series exploring gender relationships, trying to explode some myths about stereotypes. A wise look at a very important subject. Sometimes gets quite steamy so watch out for that. Achieves sensitivity whilst still being entertaining.

Very thought provokinh

There's a lot to say in favour of this series. Despite the fairly provocative title and subject matter, the series is actually very intelligent and used physical intimacy as a way of putting the complicated relationships of these young lesbians into perspective. Its actually very thought provoking, particularly to anyone interested in topics like gender and identity. Some scenes are pretty steamy so you may want to watch out for that. Definitely not appropriate for the prudishly minded, but otherwise a very clever series with engaging characters and decent plot lines.
