Walter Garber (Denzel Washington) is a New York City subway dispatcher whose ordinary day is thrown into chaos by an audacious crime: the hijacking of a subway train. Ryder (John Travolta), the criminal mastermind behind the hijacking and leader of a highlyarmed gang of four, threatens to execute the train's passengers unless a large ransom is paid within one hour. As the tension mounts beneath his feet, Garber employs his vast knowledge of the subway system in a battle to outwit Ryder and save the hostages. Excellent remake !
Tony Scott, Tony Scott, Tony Scott !!! this may mean absolutely nothing to you but let me assure you it usually means an excellent movie and this is a thrilling thriller ! This is a remake of the 70's movie and its sooo much better in my opinion. Its a good sold story that runs at a good pace holding your interest all the way through. The cast is superb and the acting incredable. The story is about a hijack situation and is full of suspence and tension, all the best ingredients for a top thriller. This is a very well made movie and really enjoyable to watch !
