Great Service

Bought this box set for my son as I had seen it originally when it was broadcast and it is a fantastic series. The service from Zavvi was excellent. From the easy to navigate website to delivery they are extremely professional. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Great Purchase

Bought this box set as a Christmas present. My boyfriend has only watched a couple of episodes, but he seems to like it. It recieves an 8.2 out of 10 review on IMDB and claims to be one of the best cop shows. Only downfall is it not being available on bluray. Looked everywhere but it's not likely to be transferred to bluray. However, Great price for complete series, Zavvi was cheapest store I found online selling the Boxset, recieved email updates about my purchase and delivery time was good.

almost, but not quite

Don't get me wrong - this is my favorite ever series, and if it weren't for one small detail this would get an automatic 5 stars... There are a few episodes with scenes missing, most of them are small but there are a couple of major scenes (one in particular) that are completely missing. These are not directors cuts or anything like that - they are scenes that were shown on T and are included in the US release, but not the UK/Region 2 version... I hate it when "complete DVD box-sets" do this - it is even rated 18 already - there should be absolutely no reason why these scenes are cut. As a result, I will not be buying this product, and instead buying imports from the US If you don't know the series, or are not a big fan, then this is probably a great product.....if, like me, you enjoy this series and want to complete thing, then avoid this

Fantastic Series

The Shield - Seasons 1-7 Box Set is a phenomenal series that I would recommend to anyone who likes other great US shows such as The Wire, The Sopranos and Breaking Bad. It's gritty, realistic, with a dark sense of humour, and has some brilliantly likeable characters that are superbly acted. You really can't go wrong with seven series at this price. It's highly recommended!

The Shield

I read some good reviews of the shield and made it my first buy from Zavvi.The product arrived promptly and well packaged. After playing the first two episodes tbh my thoughts where I have wasted my money as i cannot get into this.However I am pleased to report that it grows on you,and by the end of the first disc I was hooked. The story lines are good and believable, the acting is very good and I would recommend this box set as well worth watching and excellent value at the Zavvi price.

The set arrived about a week after ordering which was fine. Pleased with price. Not opened as yet due to it being a Christmas present but am sure if there are any issues Zavvi will sort them out.Thank you.

an absolutely amazing boxset of all seven series . michael chicklis is brilliant in the lead roll showing his darker side . all round a great cop series ... well worth the investment .
