BRIT Awards 2010

The BRITs is the UK’s and Europe’s premier music show and one of the biggest media events of the year, hailing British stars from the Beatles to Blur. Since returning to the original live platform in 1997 (after been swapped for pre-recorded shows in 1989), The BRITs viewing figures have rocketed as people tune in to see glitz, glamour, spectacular performances from the best in British and International music.

Comedian Peter Kay will host the 30th BRIT Awards.

Judging Panel:

The BRITs Academy has the job of deciding who cuts the grade. The BRITs Academy comprises 1,000 people from across the UK music business – people who work for record companies (large and small), music publishers, music students, artist managers, producers, TV presenters, DJs, musicians, music press, promoters, venues, record retailers, concert promoters and music lawyers.

Their chosen nominees won’t be revealed until The BRIT Awards Nominations Launch which will take place at IndigO2 at London’s O2 on Monday 18th January. Candidates will then battle it out in each category for the all important BRIT trophies.
