Whether you’re pro-Xbox One or not, those who watched Microsoft’s E3 conference reveal can’t deny that Microsoft pulled out all the stops this time around to show that they really are serious about the games. From honouring their already existing Xbox Live Gold members with free downloadable games each month, to treating their existing Xbox 360 owners to new and exclusive games, and then a whole host of Xbox One exclusive games on top of this, those who are Team Microsoft will not be getting a raw deal, no matter if they decide to stick with 360 or upgrade to One or not.
Xbox Live Gold members will have the option to download two titles from the Xbox Live Marketplace every month for free, and Xbox 360 owners will be pleased to know that they’re also getting three new titles! These titles have been announced as World of Tanks, originally a PC exclusive title, Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, and Dark Souls II.
The games revealed for the Xbox One are as follows:
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Ryse: Son of Rome, Killer Instinct, Sunset Overdrive, Forza 5, Minecraft, Quantum Break, D4, Project Spark, Crimson Dragon, Dead Rising 3, Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Battlefield 4, Below, Halo, and TitanFall.
Xbox One Exclusives are as follows:
Ryse: Son of Rome, Killer Instinct, Sunset Overdrive, Forza 5, Minecraft, Quantum Break, D4, Project Spark, Crimson Dragon, Dead Rising 3, Below, and Halo.
Those that purchase the Xbox One will be privy to the use of Twitch for built in Xbox chat, as well as using it for sharing their Xbox One experiences. Microsoft has also announced that they are discontinuing their use of Microsoft Points, in favour of real world currency.
Microsoft have announced that The Xbox One will be released in November, for the price of £429.99.
