It may not be due for release for a good few months yet, but Rockstar’s L.A. Noire is already way up there on the list of next year’s most anticipated releases. But a new documentary video clip, released this week by Rockstar, has gone to show that their 1947-set detective thriller is truly pushing videogame visuals to the next level. In the clip (which you can view below) several of the artists and technicians behind the game explain (and demonstrate) the brand new ‘MotionScan’ technology that they’re using to craft all of the game’s cinematics… and even if you’re not a gamer, the results are quite amazing. L.A Noire, the plot of which is still shrouded in intense secrecy, is due for release next spring on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. We can’t wait.
