As the run up to the Xbox One launch day is almost upon we’ve put together a round-up of some of the games that will be available from Zavvi on day one including, Fifa 14, Forza 5, Battlefield 4, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, Need For Speed: Rivals, Ryse: Son Of Rome, Dead Rising 3, Zoo Tycoon and Just Dance 2014.
Fifa 14 EA Sports.
Fifa 14 is catapulted into our gaming stratosphere with some fantastic rendering, playability, real-world pitches and gravity physics, with some great pre and post-match ceremonies to boast about. With FUT legends you’ll be able to create your personal team with a whole array of players, even some of the most famous players of all time. Using the full potential of the new console Fifa 14 introduces hundreds of new tricks and abilities.
Forza Motorsport 5 – Turn 10
Forza 5 is a compelling motorsport experience that delivers the believability of real-life by building in computer generated errors that only humans would produce during game play. This level of detail has been built from the ground up for the Xbox one console. Using Smart Match technology Forza 5 also pitches you, online, against drivers of a similar ability so the online mode should be more enjoyable and experiential. Also as your ability progresses so will your career and your opponents.
Battlefield 4 – Dice
Battlefield 4 re-writes the action genre of game play with cinematic and awe-inspiring visuals that wouldn’t be misplaced in a high end art gallery. Here you have the ability to destroy whole buildings or command entire operations from a remote position. The story mode is compelling and believable which I’m told is half the battle these days (no pun intended). Here you’ll need to focus on your own ability to succeed by focusing upon your own desire to suppress the enemy. Lock and load.
Assassins Creed: Black Flag – Ubisoft
Black Flag is all about escapism and being someone else, somewhere else. Focusing upon the golden age of piracy you become Edward Kenway, a feared yet respected pirate that has a hidden past. Unwittingly he is drawn into an age-old feud between the assassins and their old adversaries. How will he fare? The in-game weapons are of the period and are in themselves worth buying the game for, the cutlass swords and the flintlock guns are rendered in awesome detail. Captain your ship, the Jackdaw and trawl the massive online world for pieces of eight. Land ahoy!
Need For Speed: Rivals – Ghost, Criterion
One impressive feature of this game is the online mode. No forums, no lobbies, it’s one big MMO. You’ll be able to join your friends immediately with the new All Drive technology. This gives rise to certain questions about how the online mode will cope with thousands of people playing at the same time, however this technological feat has been brought to fruition it is going to be awesome to behold. Fully customizable cars will allow you to explore your personality with new and custom paintjobs and nice finishing. You can even upgrade your technology no matter which side of the law you are on, this includes evasion tech such as shockwaves, jammers, EMP, or helicopter support to mention but a few. All said and done, there’ll be plenty of opportunity to stay one step ahead of everybody else.
