The Duke is back.
To celebrate next Friday’s Blu-Ray release of the classic original version of True Grit, Paramount Pictures are holding a very special one-off event in West London, on Wednesday 9th February. The event promises to be, “an intimate screening of the classic movie… play Bingo along to memorable moments from the movie…” and we’ve got two pairs of tickets to give away. The screening kicks off at 6:30pm on Wednesday the 9th, and the location is situated very close to London’ King’s Cross Rail Station.
If you’ve never seen the original True Grit, then it’ll be a great excuse to familiarise yourself with it in the run-up to the big screen release of the Coen brother’s Oscar tipped (and apparently rather different) new remake. And if (for some utterly bizarre reason) you have no interest in True Grit whatsoever, then you’re mad. But nobody loves a game of bingo more than a crazy person. So answer the following question in the comments section below, for your chance to win one of two pairs of tickets.
QUESTION: In the new True Grit remake, Jeff Bridges stars in the role originally made famous by John Wayne. But if a film about John Wayne were to be made today, who do you think should play him and why?
