Zavvi - The Home of Pop Culture

One of the greatest directors of the 1980s, John Landis (The Blues Brothers, Trading Places), expertly combines macabre horror with dark humour in the lycanthropic classic, An American Werewolf in London.

American tourists David (David Naughton) and Jack (Griffin Dunne) are savaged by an unidentified vicious animal whilst hiking on the Yorkshire Moors. David awakes in a London hospital to find his friend dead and his life in disarray. Retiring to the home of a beautiful nurse (Jenny Agutter, Walkabout) to recuperate, he soon experiences disturbing changes to his mind and body, undergoing a full-moon transformation that will unleash terror on the streets of the capital...

An American Werewolf in London had audiences howling with laughter and recoiling in terror upon its cinema release. Landis’ film has gone on to become one of the most important horror films of its decade, rightly lauded for its masterful set-pieces, uniquely unsettling atmosphere and Rick Baker’s truly ground-breaking, Oscar-winning special makeup effects. Now restored and presented with an abundance of extra features, this big beast of horror can be devoured as never before...

American werewolf in london

Stunning steel book. Great design, not boring. Film is also brill, classic.

Brilliant

The quality of the DVD is fantastic and It’s the very thing I wanted. The case is visually stunning with the art work on the DVD case inside and out. The small booklet you get with the dvd I was pleasantly surprise with as you get some photo stills from the film with facts and information about the process of making the film. The film itself is great now it’s in 4K with better picture and sound all round plus with the bonus extras. I’m a big fan of Rick baker so watching him and the people making this film was great with their interviews. In my opinion it’s a MUST buy!.

Stunning

Amazing looking steelbook, really is a work of art. Great for collecting, looks amazing.

Bad Moon Rising

One of the most influential and recognizable horror films of the past 100years. There are many films that tried to ape the success and visuals of this film, but have not managed to fully incorporate the work of John Landis. From the practical effects to the dark comedy moments. It is a classic of the genre and appreciated by horror buffs and film fans a like. The transformation seen alone is something that no one can forget, all done with no CGI and in the most horrific ways possible.
