Fantastic Show

Hannibal is one of the most underrated shows on television. Why is no one talking about it?? This season is much stronger than season 1 and really comes into its own towards the season finale. If you like excellent writing, terrifying imagery and fantastic performances this show is for you! I honestly can't rate it enough.

Hannibal loses some bite

Now precursor here, i love Hannibal. I think it is one of the most engaging and aesthetically rich shows on TV right now. I think Mads is brilliant as the man himself, and Hugh Dancy almost surpasses William Petersen's role defining turn in Manhunter. So it is with this i mind, that when i say "you can probably skip the first half of season 2", i mean that as a friendly suggestion, rather than a slight on the show. Episode 2 - Sakizuki, and Episode 4 - Takiawase, have flickers of season 1's brilliance, but it is not until Episode 7 - Yakimono, that the show finally comes back to life. And from then on, Hannibal storms into a stunning climax that comes way too quickly, and blazes a trail for what promises to be a very powerful 3rd season. Hannibal is the type of show made for the digital age, and the it has never looked more beautiful than it does on blu ray. So if you have not yet watched it, or are thinking about adding to your collection, blu ray over dvd is the way to go.
