Horror icons Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing team up once again for an Amicus take on Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novella Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, with Lee occupying the role of the scientist and his deadly alter ego. Two faces of Lee
From Amicus productions comes a non-Hammer, Hammer film. A retelling of Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in which Christopher Lee becomes unrecognizable to his friends with the aid of distracting teeth, in the same way, Clark Kent's disguises his ultra-ego. The script by Milton Subotsky is good but the attempt to make the film in 3D doesn't help, with some odd camera moves that slows the story down at times, in particular when Lee as Edward Blake enters a pub and for no real reason, he and the woman he is talking to get pushed along the bar. Lee and Cushing are wonderful to watch as always. Indicator has produced a disc that anyone interested in this period of film history should have in their collection.

this is an excellent release by amicus films with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing on this take of Jekyll and Hyde..highly recommended..
