Classic sequel
I love getting 4k remasters of classics and escape from new York is one of my favourites I know this film didn't receive as much acclaim but I think it's a solidly good sequel and this 4k remaster is superb
Underseen and overlooked
Escape from new york to me is the best action movie of all time. While not as good LA is a super fun time and more screen time with Snake is more than worth your time. Cannot wait to rewatch this in 4K and the extra cards and poster are a welcome bonus in this set.
Call me snake
Great film finally given the recognition it deserves. Bummed about no extras but the 4K transfer is great.
I Love This Film But…
I can only review the film at the moment and my thoughts about its release. A lot of people slate this movie, but I consider it a great tongue-in-cheek b movie, and it was great to see Kurt Russel back as anti-hero, Snake Plisken. As to the contents? Come on, Paramount; no soundtrack disc? I don’t know if Studio Canal are going to release this in the future, like their other 5 John Carpenter collector editions. Also worth noting that this Paramount release is the same price as Studio Canal’s releases, but with 2 extra discs. I still think I will buy this though, I love John Carpenter’s movies.
