Solomon Kane is a great movie and a great price. If you like fantasy and supernatural watch this movie.

Solomon Kane is a great movie, and is an excellent transfer to Blu-ray. The colours are crisp and it features a great soundtrack. James Purefoy plays the lead with just the right understatement that keeps you interested as he builds the character to a satisfactory conclusion. This film is well acted.

As a hero Solomon Kane doesn't quite make the grade. But he does look the part. As a film, if you like swords, demons and the odd witch this could be for you.

Fantasy retro feast
If like me you grew up loving the 80's fantasy then you will love this adaptation of Robert E Howards, 16th century comic book anti- hero. Kane renounces violence but his resolve is tested to the limit and when it breaks Kane unleashes the frustration of his tormented mind against all that is evil in spectacular fashion. Great action scenes coupled with a moody portrayal of 16th century England and some great over the top effects make for wonderful escapism. This is all brought to the screen in a superb transfer to blu ray, great visuals complemented by great audio. Not quite reference quality but not far off. If you don't expect an epic on the scale of Lord of the Rings and approach this looking for a a bit of old school sword and sorcery then you can't go wrong.

Odd but great!
This is a real cult film, and one to keep for sure. If you like your weird action movies like Kickass, then this is for you. Kinda reminded me of Plunket and Mclean which was another under rated gem. Great film
