The world has many heroes… but only one is a god. When the arrogant warrior Thor (Chris Hemsworth, Star Trek) is banished to Earth from his homeworld of Asgard, he must fight to reclaim his lost powers. Pursued by an invasion force sent to destroy him, the fallen God of Thunder must rise to the battle and learn what it takes to become a true hero. Natalie Portman (Black Swan) and Anthony Hopkins (Beowulf) also star in the blockbuster adventure that critics are saying "Hammers home the action" (Sunday Mirror) and is "10/10. Thorsome!" (Daily Star).

Out of all of the superhero movies doing the rounds Thor is head and shoulders above the rest, superb acting from a talented group of actors, action packed, and a storyline that begs a sequel, buy this movie you will not be sorry.
The Marvel series keeps getting better in terms of quality film making, its just a shame that the ratings are too high for younger viewers to appreciate. The darker edge of Thor (Single Disc) does bring a new dimension to the paper-based original.
I really enjoyed this Blu-ray despite the poor reviews read prior to watching it, the effects were great and so was the story. One of the reasons I enjoyed this may be down to the fact: I had a look at the "cut scenes" on the Blu-ray prior to watching the film. Cannot understand why the scenes were cut out. Watch it and judge for yourself....
