If you’re a die-hard fan of director George Lucas’s critically acclaimed saga, these are not to be missed.

A Complicated Profession

In Star Wars, Boba Fett (originally played by body actor Jeremy Bulloch and voice actor Jason Wingreen) is one of the most respected bounty hunters in the galaxy. Raised by Jango Fett (Temuera Morrison), whose genetic material was used to create him as an identical clone son, he received unparalleled combat training over the course of his youth, though he was eventually forced to traverse his own path after his father’s death.

The onset of the Galactic Empire saw the character gain a fierce reputation, and this makes him an ideal candidate when the Imperials need an expert to track down the crew of the Millennium Falcon in Star Wars: Episode IV – The Empire Strikes Back (1980). One of six given the task by Darth Vader (David Prowse / James Earl Jones), Boba employs his bespoke skills to locate the group — comprising Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), and C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) — at Cloud City, where they are subsequently ambushed. His compensation arrives in the form of a carbonite-frozen Solo, on whom the crime lord Jabba The Hutt (Larry Ward) placed a large reward.

The final instalment in the original trilogy, Star Wars: Episode VI – Return Of The Jedi (1983), relocates Boba to Jabba’s Palace. Unfortunately, his affiliation with the palace’s namesake resident lands him in the stomach of a hungry sarlacc, his jetpack having been sabotaged beside the Great Pit Of Carkoon. Audiences learn the fate of the bounty hunter in his own Disney+ show, The Book Of Boba Fett, which shows how he escapes the sarlacc and his attempt to establish himself as the new Daimyo of Tatooine.
