The Peak District
At the southern end of the Pennines lies the Peak District, an area of open moorland, limestone plateaux, fertile valleys, stately homes, enchanting market towns and picturesque villages. We begin our journey on the Huddersfield Line on a diesel unit as it runs up into the moorlands through to our final stop, the Crich Tramway Museum with its comprehensive collection of trams from around the world.
The Lake District
The Lake District is one of the most to spectacular area in the country and we explores it on to variety of sprinters. We start our journey at Carnforth, we then head north to Oxenholme, junction for the branch line to Windermere and then on to Kendal. At Kendal, a town of many historical buildings and bridges, we alight and visit its castle.
