The first of the 'spaghetti westerns', A Fistful Of Dollars became an instant cult hit and launched the film careers of Italian Writer-Director Sergio Leone, and a little known American television actor named Clint Eastwood. Sergio Leone's direction is both violent and operatic and Ennio Morricone's atmospheric score keeps the tension taut as the action moves from jail breaks and holds up to spectacular gun battles.

The complex plot of bloodshed and betrayal winds its way through the American Civil War following a team of brutal bandits battling to unearth a fortune buried beneath an unmarked grave, and boasts in find Ennio Morricone score featuring a main theme that reached No. 1 in the world's pop charts.

Quality classics
Clint Eastwood made a lot more westerns but these are the trend setters. And although A Fistful Of Dollars was already released in 1964 it's still a great movie to watch. Maybe not as action packed as movies of today but the atmosphere of the old west was never captured better as in these westerns.

Clint Eastwood at its Best
This DVD Box is really worth the buy, if you did ever like italian western. Sure, the image quality is not the best, but what could you expect from a 40 year old movie ;) The first 3 films are really excellent and will surely make you feel satisfied after watching. Hang Em High is a bit out of my taste, but still a good movie. The soundtrack is always on the top - of course this might diversify by taste. If you dont already got one of these movies, the box makes you movie collection even more valuable.
