Russia covers an area of over 10 million square miles and crosses 11 different time zones. From vast plains in the west to epic lakes like the Caspian Sea, and unspoiled forests to Northern Arctic tundra, in this gigantic land it is possible to experience the widest and most dramatic range of landscapes on earth.
Traveller Ian Wright begins his journey in the capital Moscow home of the Kremlin, and seat of the Russian government. He then takes the train to Torzhok and historic St Petersburg, before flying to the Arctic Circle and the port of Murmansk.
