Classic Doctor Tale.

Nice to see the only Doctor tale filmed that was never completed out on DVD at last. Also The 30th anniversary tales. Which was done while no Doctor Who series was made. Nice boxset and the forgotten tale told at last.

Odds and Ends

A curates egg with a multitude of interviews and the incomplete lost story Shada. Also included is a rudimentary flash cartoon version of the story of the Big Finish audioplay starring the Eighth Doctor, Paul McGann and the original Romana, Lalla Ward. The highlights of the box set include a memorial to Brigadier Nicholas Courtney, a Peter Purves and Verity Lambert interview, and scene-stealing Rani, Kate O'Mara. Probably only for fans and the 1993 documentary is pure nostalgia -- watch out for the photogallery of the two Susans: Carole Ann Ford and Roberta Tovey side by side -- but a worthwhile release.

A Big Finish for Shada?

This release is more likely to be attractive to the hardened Who Fan than the casual viewer as Shada was never completed due to industrial action when it was being filmed. Nevertheless this is an interesting release packed with loads of special features including the excellent documentary More than 30 years in the Tardis. The best special feature for me is the inclusion of Big Finish's complete animated version of Shada. I cannot fathom however, why it was decided it can only be viewed using a computer. It would have made far more sense to make it viewable on DVD, and would have earned five stars from me rather than four.

Doctor who Legacy set

More than 30 years in the Tardis. If you ever want see the best of Doctor Who in the classic years - before the series came back in 2005- then this collection is for you. Why not go back to 1993 (before the Doctor Who movie staring Paul Mcgann) and take a trip down memory lane with the Doctor? Featuring shows like This Morning, Blue Peter, and Spike Milgan comedy stretches. There are two disks included, the first is with Tom Bake as the Doctor, Lala Ward as Rommana and John Lesson as K9. The second features Paul McGann, Lalla and John recasting as Rommana and K9 (this can only play on PC/Laptop). This Story was never shown on TV due to BBC strike so the only way you can see this is on DVD!

Doctor Who - Legacy Collection

I wanted this Doctor Who: The Legacy Collection to help complete my collection in Doctor Who's 50th year. The 'missing' story Shada has been a long time coming to DVD and partnered with a documentary first shown in 1993 it is a worthwhile purchase and addition to any Doctor Who library!
