lost in space.. with muppets!
An astronaut finds himself in a gang with kermit's deformed cousin, Squidly Jim, the chick who gets bitten in half in Pitch Black and a fit member of the blue man group, on a space whale called Moya, in a distant galaxy, after an accident at work shoots him and his fun-size space shuttle through a wormhole (it was alot to fit into episode 1). So begins the traditional sci-fi fare: they go to different planets, they meet different alien cultures and they teach us about ourselves; An evil militaristic empire pursues them, they try and seek a peaceful solution, and that gives us a sense of moral superiority; they struggle to adapt to new situations, which brings everyone closer together, and teaches us about family. The episodes are well paced and entertaining. The characters are engaging and the actors work well with the special effects. And the blue hippy gets naked occasionally.
