This set comprises the first seven series - all of Nick Rowan's stories and more. Introducing much-loved regulars like cheeky rogue Claude Jeremiah Greengrass and his nemesis Sgt Blaketon, PC Phil Bellamy, barmaid Gina and Maggie the district nurse, the set also features the 1999 special in which Nick and his family begin a new life in Canada as well as the introduction of Rowan's successor, Mike Bradley, played by Jason Durr.

Excellent DVD Box Set

Magic Memories
Although I was raised in South Wales, Heartbeat from the North-East would have been atypical of many country areas throughout the UK. Nowadays the bobby on the beat is a memory long past as is the respect shown to our local guardians against crime. This programme takes me back to a better time and what sweetens this series even more is the 60's pop music that accompanies each episode. As with many TV series that outstay their welcome, once Nick Berry left, Heartbeat lost its attraction for me and that is why The Rowan Years fits my collection so well.

Excellent item well worth the money. This item is for my partner for Christmas so haven't enjoyed the boxset yet but I know it will be great :-)
