A sweet Scandinavian Christmas tale
Journey to the Christmas Star follows in the tradition of fairytales and fantasy. It's clear to see the Scandinavian roots in the story, which adds to the fairytale feel of storyline and setting. It contains the classical elements of lost princesses, evil witches, magical creatures and a journey not only to save the kingdom, but also the heroine's quest to finding herself. It's originally recorded in Norwegian, but this is a dubbed version. The dubbing is, however, done skillfully. I would highly recommend this film to anyone with children or who embrace their inner child and loves a good Christmas fairytale.
