Final mission

Brilliant movie for Daniel Craig's final mission has 007 James bond.

Brilliant finale to the Daniel Craig saga

Daniel Craig completes his unique 007 arc in style bringing more emotional stakes to the role like never before. A brilliant supporting cast, from the returning Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw and Ralph Fiennes to the villainous Rami Malek and a fun turn from Ana de Armas, alongside thrilling action help to make this one of the best Bond films ever!

“We all have our secrets.”

Zavvi clearly sent this as soon as it had received it (I received it several days before the official release date). It arrived in fantastic condition, just as if it had come right off of a store shelf. The film itself is an acquired taste. I personally like it a lot, but there are aspects to it that are very different to what many would expect from a Bond film (but then, many of Daniel Craig’s Bond films have those aspects to them that are closer to the novels and less like the Sean Connery/Roger Moore films). Overall, if you like the more emotionally-driven films in the franchise, like On Her Majesty’s Secret Service and most of Daniel Craig’s Bond films, then you’re likely to enjoy this one. No Time to Die brings Craig’s arc to a close, pulling issues from all of his Bond films to a close and taking audiences on an emotional journey, alongside all of the action and glamour that you would expect from a Bond film. There are also elements to the film that have arguably been absent from the films for quite a while, like the ending in the villain’s elaborate lair, a truly gadget-laden Aston Martin and a proper car chase to go with it, and a plot that both has global-reaching proportions and which carries a genuine sense of threat. The only downside to the DVD (which is not Zavvi’s fault at all) is that the special features reflect a fraction of the behind-the-scenes tidbits that the production company has been releasing to promote the film. Overall, if you’re a Bond completist or a fan of Daniel Craig, or a fan of Daniel Craig’s Bond, then this film is highly recommended.
