Fun Game

4

This was a game I wanted to buy a long time, but always kept postponing it for the grace of other games. The main thing that attracted me was it was similar to prince of Persia game play, which is one of my favorite games, and I always look for games in this genre. My overall view of the game after completing it and achieving 1000 G score, is this: Its a multiplatform game, better on the 360, which has some issues in some areas, dropping framerate and some controls being heavy, but overall is a very beautiful game, filled with color and sometimes amazing backgrounds and scenery, and I would recommend this to anyone who loves this genre. My overall rating would be close to 7-7.5/10 its a very fun game, not particularly hard, and for this price you should definitely check it out

Really great

5

I thought that this game would be good but it's even better than I initially thought. I like everything - from the style (I would call this stylized realism) to the story to the jokes and the gameplay. I have been waiting for humorous and interesting games for ages (probably after Psychonauts and that was a long time ago) and this is it. The characters alone is enough to buy the game especially at this price. Recommended to anyone with a good sense of humour and a desire to explore these colourful and beautiful environments.

An epic post-apocalyptic tale from the authors of Heavenly Sword

4

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is a colorful action adventure written by Alex Garland (28 Days Later, Sunshine) and inspired by a classic Chinese novel Journey to the West. It is set 150 years in the future when our planet and the remaining human survivors are suffering from the effects of a global war. Players take on the role of a brave survivor Monkey, who has to escort a girl named Trip to her home, otherwise she will kill him with a special headband that Monkey wears on his head. There is another trick - if she dies, he dies. Enslaved is one of a kind sci-fi story filled with emotions, sharp dialogue and memorable characters. Like any other game it also has some problems. For example, the platforming is pretty straightforward and a lot easier than what you would normally expect from an action adventure game. Also the camera can be a little tricky at times and campaign doesn't last more than around 8-10 hours, but a brilliant storyline, colorful graphics and one of the best voice acting in the history video games certainly outweight these problems. If you are looking for a unique science fiction story, told through emotional and fantasticly animated scenes, look no further, because this is probably as good as it gets.

Enslaved

4

An enjoyable game but can be a bit simplistic and lacks polish in certain areas. Combat is just a case of strong attack and weak attack and the platforming is very on rails. Simply push in the vague direction of where you want to go and the game will make sure you get there. Graphically it is very nice but it does have some clipping issues and in the cutscenes especially the characters hands will disappear through the world and each other, switches will be pulled by simply putting their hands near it and so on. I never found it ruined the experience but it is obvious. The story is great and if you have read the book or watched the TV show as a kid you will know the basic idea. The very basic idea. The game really just takes a couple of names from characters and has them going over there. That's where the similarities end. However, that isn't a bad thing, the relationship between Monkey and Trip is interesting and the game has incredible voice acting and facial animation that really brings the story to life. Just be prepared to dislike Trip as she basically kidnaps you at the start of the game and threatens you with death when you don't do as she says. I almost didn't mention Pigsy. Now I have. Happy gaming.

Absolute must buy game for anyone that likes a game with a great story you can not stop playing untill you see the end. Great facial and character animation, you have to see it for yourself. Great game, don't let this one go, you won't be disappointed and you will enjoy one of the best story driven adventure games of 2010.

Best game i played in ages.

4

I will have to admit this is one of the best Xbox 360 games i have played in a long time. Its a great platform game mixed with combat and a great storyline for me. The game is set in an post apocalyptic world set in America. You play as Monkey (voice by Andy Serkis) who becomes the helper but not by choice to Tripp. Main thing to the game is that if you die, she dies and same the other way round. At times you will have to carry her and help her jump gaps that are too far or high, need each other to open doors and move items. The game is good looking, funny in places and cutscenes worth watching for me and good voice acting. The game is worth playing and buying so if you do become one of the many buyers of this game i hope you will enjoy.

Sleeper Hit of the Year

5

Words that describe Enslaved. Under-rated, sleeper hit, perfect. This game literally shocked me as to how amazing the production values were. This is quite easily the best platformer/action game on the 360. FACT. Enslaved has the most sumptious, coulourful design the Unreal 3 engine has ever produced, the story and voice acting are at Hollywood triple A star grade values, the playability and controls are tight and always remain fresh and fun and the sound is both beautifully designed and implemented. And to top it all off it has humour, romance, action and emotion coarsing through it's veins in such a way that you really do connect with game and want to see it thorugh to it's climatic end. The only thing is needs now is DLC to extend the game further..OH WAIT it does :-) Piggsy's Perfect 10 is a back story to one of the more colourful and lovable characters in Enslaved and if you have Enslaved I advise you splash out the 800MS Points and enjoy the extras this pack has to offer
