Very nice stealth action game

Do you remember being affraid of the dark as a little kid? This is how the bad guys feel know when they know Sam Fisher is in the dark. He could be anywhere. YOU could be anywhere. This game brings a whole bunch of ways to defeat your enemy. Most of the times you feel like an almighty avenger hidden even in the dark corners of a well lit room. No one is safe now.

Worth the wait...YES

After being delayed time and time again in the previous years, many of us thought that we had seen the last of Sam Fisher in Double Agent...Far from it. Instead, these delays have not just resulted in slick graphics, smooth game play, top notch acting and a terrific fun experience but perhaps one of the best action/adventure/stealth ever made. Gone is the 'old Sam' we knew from pandorra tomorrow, chaos theory and double agent and in its place, we have a man who is on a mission of justice, revenge and conviction. The story is one of the best and memorable i have come across (personally, its up there with Mass Effect 1 and 2), the cut scenes and interactions are just utterly brilliant and i just love the new approach or direction Ubisoft have taken with this. The main changes is the game play in terms of; 1)Prepare, Execute and Vanish, 2)mark and execute, 3)last known position, 4) interaction/interrogation and not forgetting the cover system, which after playing this game, needs to be adopted in every third person game, as it is just amazingly fluid and so easy to learn and grasp. Most importantly, Ubisoft have finally managed to make you feel like Sam Fisher by removing previous barriers and instead, making you feel like you are the best agent in the world. The story may be completed in 5-7 hours but do not let that put you off. The game is full of content; from a prequel co-op mode, deniable ops, and various of splinter cell challenges to complete, this is one of the very few games out there that you could play time and time, never getting old and always experiencing something new, exciting, different and unique. A worthwhile classic and a defiant must have if you are fond of action/adventure/stealth games. You will not be disappointed. My game of the year for 2010

Be the agent

Splinter Cell is one of if not the greatest series of games for me. I love stealth. The story could have been longer - I personally wanted more, but that's the only "negative" thing for me. Playing this game is pure fun - especially in co-op mode. One player can distract enemies while another - hitting them with his/her weapons. Co-op makes this game almost immortal - until the next part will be released. Highly recommended - especially at this price.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction

5

Having never played a Splinter Cell game prior to playing this, I had no idea what I would be letting myself in for. It turns out that I had chosen to buy and play one of the finest action/stealth games on the Xbox 360. The learning curve from the introductory level, through to your White House showdown is spot on. The game guides you without ever holding your hand. The P.E.C challenges will have you replaying levels without boredom kicking in, and the co-op story mode, although short is a great addition to the game. In short, this is one of my favourite games of the past 12 months....and at the current Zavvi price, an absolute steal.

Ex Cell ent!

Great stealth game, if you have played any of the other games in the series you want be dissapointed with this classic. Brilliant use of options/choices to change the game and characters moves, a new takedown option has been included where you can mark the enemy and takeout multiple targets at once. Can see myself playing this for a while! Quality game deffinately recommend!

Excellent Game!

Probably the best Splinter Cell made to date. This game has a totally revamped Splinter Cell experience and has one of the best cover systems in a game. And at Zaavi, it's such a cheap price! I bought two so that my friend and I can play co-op. Don't miss out on this bargain!

Splinter Cell Conviction Review

4

We all think of Splinter Cell as the stealth action game where you go after the bad guys, and the new instalment is... no different. After seeing the trailers and screenshots, I thought this would change the whole Splinter Cell series. But, after about two hours playing the game, I realised that I was pretty much doing the same thing as all the previous titles. Sure, Sam is meaner and his general attitude is more aggressive, but it doesn't really feel like it when you are actually playing the game, it's pretty much impossible to go through it shooting the whole place up, (especially on realistic difficulty) and even if you are that kind of player, it defeats the whole idea of what Splinter Cell really is, a stealth game. It's not all bad news though, the visuals are improved, and the gameplay is very solid. The way the game is presented to the player is very well integrated into the game as well, mission objectives are projected onto walls and objects within the game, and the cutscene to game transition is very seamless as well. Overall, probably not the best in the series, but Ubisoft have, yet again, made a good, solid game.

What a game

Having been a fan of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell game's it was great to see this come out. This time round they have added more action to it but it's not all running blowing and shooting stuff up you still have that Stealth side to the game. The action it self you will have think what to do 1st and then strike. You will have to trick the AI of the game to get to your goal. I had no issues with the gameplay or the looks but i just wish it was little bit longer. Stealth and action got it right
