2D is beautiful
4When people hear the term fighting game, they primarily think about the fighting system and how it plays. What stands out with King of Fighters XIII is how competitive it is. With a proven franchise like The King of Fighters, is it is no surprise to hear that it fulfills all of these criteria with ease. It's a fresh and complex system that is fun to try out. But what really stands out is the beautiful art. With every frame being 100% hand drawn, this is a gem in the modern world. The play mechanics are not perfect but very close.

Return of the King
5After a mediocre 12th episode, King Of Fighters XIII is really her to redeem its name. With great visuals, multitude of modes, a very robust gameplay system and a good netcode, this new King Of Fighters will surely make its place among these generations best fighting games.

The King of Fighters is back !
5King of Fighters XIII is the best 2D fighting game I've played. There are a lot of characters, all with their own unique playing style. It's a beautiful game design! This game is very accessible for beginners with tutorials, and great for advanced players as it will test your skill. You will need a lot of precision and timing to finish the trial mode. The King of Fighters XIII is more difficult than Super Street Fighter IV or BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend. This game is a must have!

4I grew up playing Street fighter and I never really played any other fighting games. King of Fighters XIII is a great fighting game, with a high learning curve. It is far more difficult than the Street fighter games. A lot of different cool characters to choose and very crazy combo and mix-up possibilities. Definitely try it.

The King is back (again)
5After a disappointing episode XII, the best fighting game from SNK Playmore rises again. Beginners can discover the game without fear and for the skilled players the gameplay is richer than ever. HD graphics are the same as the previous King of Fighters but there are so much more characters available, including famous K', Mai Shiranui or Billy Kane. Just enter the tournament, you won't regret it!

5I have to say the modern consoles are perfect for these types of games. King of Fighters XIII is a chaotic game to say the least. But it still gives you time to think and master combos. Each character is unique. Even if you are new to this game there are lots of fine tutorials to help you. While the story is short and has multiple endings the multiplayer is a never ending adventure meeting new opponents and testing your skills. All in all this game represents itself with solid 2D graphics that run perfectly on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
