Excellent Collection
4Excellent collection but still missing the remastered version of MG1 Twin Snakes, without this I can't really call this a legacy collection as this game plays a major part of MGS which only ever came out on Game cube. Other than that excellent price for the games included

The legend just got bigger
5As a MGS fan, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. It includes everything that an MGS fan would want, even though its missing the PSP game MGS Portable Ops. Still that is not even close enough reason to lower the collection's score, among other things because it includes the superior PSP game Peace Walker. For everyone not into the MGS series, this is the perfect buy to experience one of videogames' biggest franchise and amazing story. You won't be dissapointed

Best Box Buy
4Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection is the greatest box in the gaming history. The best games in one box for a great price in HD. The only fault with the box is the downloading of MGS 1 and Special Missions.

Best game ever
5Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection has all the Metal Gear games put onto 2 discs, plus the myriad of extras also released in the run up to MGSV. This is very cost effective and will grant you hours upon hours of repeatable game play. This is the sort of saga that will be remembered as one of the greats, alongside Mario and Tetris.

Best buy of the year
5Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection is the definitive collection for Metal Gear fans that is also a great gift for those who don't know the series. It is hard to argue that this is one of the best buys for anyone with a PS3 with eight games for the price of one. My two only complaints are the absence of Metal Gear Solid in its physical form, as only a download code is provided to access the game at PSN. My other complaint is the navigation. If one wants to play Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 one has to open MGS3 and access Extras in the menu. For those not familiar with MGS3 Subsistence this may be confusing. Overall, it's a great buy. It would make no sense for any serious gamer with a PS3 to pass on this opportunity. Price, quality and quantity...now this is perfection.

The definitive MGS collection
5For a newcomer to the series, this is perfect. All of the canon games, minus the black sheep Portable Ops, in a great package along with an art book (The graphic design of the series ie posters) and the digital comics. Even for a veteran, It's great to have all of the games on the one platform - MGS2 and 3 are the HD editions. Really, the only reason to maybe give this a miss is If you already have the HD Collection and MGS4. The games are needless to say, perfect in every way.

Great for fans
4This collection is a must for collectors as the packaging art and illustration book are of the highest quality. However, I was expecting a few things of this collection that are not there. I was hoping Metal gear solid was on disc and in HD but it is not, you get a download code to load it off the ps store. This is fine for keeps but lessens its resale value if you wished to sell on. Also metal gear and metal gear 2 are extras on Snake eater, not separate games. MGS2, peace walker, and snake eater are the same as the MGS HD collection and MGS4 is still an amazing game. Everyone who will buy this should probably know what they are in for with this excellent series, I just wanted to clarify the format you will receive all the games on. Personally as a fan I found this an excellent and nostalgic package.
