Double vinyl LP pressing in gatefold jacket. 2016 release. Seasick Steve is a blues musician from Oakland, CA and this is his eighth studio album - a great mix of boogie, blues, rock, and Americana folk music. It's been 10 years since he first appeared on the BBC as part of Jools Holland's Hootenanny - a legendary performance that brought him to the attention of a wider audience.
Seasick Steve plays mostly personalised guitars and sings, usually about his early life doing casual work. In an interview with an Australian magazine, Steve attributed much of his unlikely success to his cheap and weather-beaten guitar, The Trance Wonder a three-stringed instrument that creates beautiful magic.
