Welcome To Bricksburg

The plot of The LEGO Movie (2014) revolves around Emmet Brickowski (voiced by Chris Pratt), an ordinary construction worker living in the city of Bricksburg. Unfortunately, the populace of this urban landscape is subject to the authoritative control of Lord Business (Will Ferrrel), and matters are made worse by the fact that he has stolen a super-weapon named the Kragle. Despite these terrible circumstances, there is hope: the wizard Vitruvius (Morgan Freeman), who previously attempted to foil Lord Business's plan to destroy the world, speaks of a mysterious prophecy where a 'Special' will one day retrieve the Krage and put an end to the mad man's evil.

As you can probably guess, it is Emmet who becomes this so-called Special, and with the help of his master-builder friends — Wyldstyle (Elizabeth Banks), Benny (Charlie Day), Batman (Will Arnett), Princess Unikitty (Alison Brie), and Metal Beard (Nick Offerman) — he must stop the two antagonists, Lord Business and Bad Cop (Liam Neeson), and save Bricksburg from being permanently frozen.

Following in the footsteps of this wildly popular film was The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, which was released in 2019. This direct sequel depicts our gang of returning heroes as they face a new threat: the DUPLO. Queen Watevera Wa'Nabi (Tiffany Haddish) of the Systar System kidnaps them and brings them to her world, where she brainwashes Emmet's friends and convinces Batman to marry her, this odd union serving to unite the LEGO and DUPLO worlds. However, our protagonists must face an even greater threat from a very unlikely place.
