Straight outta’ Tracy Island
The Tracy family can be found hiding out on Tracy Island waiting for their next call to duty - Jeff Tracy (Head of the family) and his 5 sons make up the bones of the International Rescue (IR) a top secret organisation created with the intention of saving human life. Well, how do they do that you ask? Hint, the answer is in the name - With the Thunderbird machines, of course!
Every Tracy brother is assigned a Thunderbird - each one hosts unique features fit for tackling any mission!
Thunderbird 1 - Piloted by Scott Tracy the rescue co-ordinator of the family. The silver and blue hypersonic rocket is designed for quick response to disaster and acts as the main control base.
Thunderbird 2 - Piloted by Virgil Tracy is perhaps one of the most vital Thunderbirds and is known as the ‘heavy duty transporter’ -it’s 250ft long body means it’s able to hold an abundance of rescue equipment for missions.
Thunderbird 3 - Piloted by both Alan and John is a vivid red ‘single-stage-to-orbit’ spacecraft specialising in space rescue missions and more importantly aids with the upkeep of Thunderbird 5.
Thunderbird 4 - Piloted by aquanaut Gordon this Thunderbird is unique to the others due to its ability to be used underwater. The yellow submersible has hidden features to make up for its slow speed including cutting lasers, electromagnets and battering rams.
Thunderbird 5 - John and Alan Tracy each take turns in manning the grey and gold space station that acts as the main communications hub to relay distress calls from all over the world.
