A Gem

Saw the trailed for this film online and it instantly grabbed me. Set in the 1920's in a hospital, two patients strike up a conversation. An injured stunt man and a little girl who had a fall (and now had a broken arm). The stunt man tells the little girl a story and this is where the majority of the film is set, the girl's imagination. With superb visuals and a heart warming (and painful) story this is a must watch for people of all ages. See if you can spot which people in the hospital the girl slots in as the characters for her imagination ;-)

epic

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

A massively epic film but extreemly accessible too. Shot in something like 22 countries; it's cinematic scope is huge and almost every scene is a stunner - you almost become numb to the beauty! It's very easy going, imaginative, funny, heart warming, tragic, engaging etc etc but without the 'heavy weight' you usually find with films that are this easy on the eye. The story jumps between the real world and the main narrative, seen from an imaginative interpretation of a young girl it's being told to. It draws you in slowly while going from a to b through z but never feels long or winding. Watch it!
