Long awaited

I'm pleased to see one of my favourite stories has made it to DVD. Doctor Who: Ace Adventures Box Set is packed with special features and is great value for money.

Great item - great price.

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

A must for all Doctor Who fans. Join the Dr & Ace in two classic stories from the late 80's (the original run of the show). At this price it really is well worth buying and will be a welcome addition to any Doctor Who fans dvd collection.

Ace Adventures...not to be taken literally!

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

Once again these scrag-end stories from the last couple of seasons of the classic series are saved merely by their excellent 'special features' which always seem to have plenty of love, care and time put into them, which is more than what you could say for Doctor Who at the end of the 1980s. The stories themselves are mostly not very well written and poorly executed, with only 'Battlefield' from Sylvester McCoy's run on the show being a worst example of TV production (in this writers' opinion). Scripts that go nowhere and appalling sets do not a Doctor Who classic make in my opinion.

Dr Who Ace Adventures - Fantastic!

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I know a lot of people don't rate Sylvester McCoy as the Doctor but I love the dynamic between the Doctor and Ace. This box set brings together two great stories, and has some good extras, particularly the making of documentaries. Well worth buying for this price.
