The Keys of Marinus was a fantastic book when I read it at the age of ten. When I picked it up I couldn't put it down it was exciting full of action then I watched it for the first time on DVD it was slow and plodding at times, not nearly as exciting as the book. Though I think when it came to novelizations the writer added and embellished parts which made it more than it was. I did enjoy it in the end as it still transported me away like all adventures.
