Southland - Seasons 1-2

Southland is the best gritty cop drama I've seen in some time. I wasn't too sure when I saw the pretty boy from the O.C. was in it (Ben McKenzie) but was pleasantly surprised that his presence is welcome and his story interesting. Also his role is not in the slightest bit girly or heart warming. The story is compelling and doesn't fail to surprise in its unique character direction and plots. This show deserves a viewing and at Zavvi's price it was a bargain!

Southland is the best cop series i've seen since Hill Street Blues. Hard hitting and realistic drama that is more like a documentary about the men and women that risk their lives every day keeping the Los Angeles streets safe. Some of the scenes in this series are not for the faint hearted. I strongly recommend it. Excellent.

Southland is the best most realistic cop show ever on TV. I was gripped from the first episode, L.A cops dealing with real issues such as alcoholism, addicts and homosexuality - thats just the cops. You are taken on a tour of duty with beat cops and detectives, this drama pulls no punches and is shockingly realistic. This is tv at its best I have seen some good cop shows in the past but none that shock and have you on the edge of your seat. This will stay with you for weeks if not months.
