Having only recently become a fan of The Vampire Diaries, I was initially apprehensive to watch it as I thought it was going to be a rip-off of all the other vampire movies and tv shows that were out. But after being told it was based on a book and it pre dated true blood and twilight I thought I would give it a shot (plus all the other shows I watched were finishing and I needed a replacement! ). The first couple of episodes didn't really have me hooked and I must admit I almost stopped watching. I thought some bits were a bit cheesy but all first episodes can be a bit shaky so I kept going and after about the fourth episode I had to keep watching. There is definitely great storytelling in this show, I was caught off guard through a lot of it, which doesn't usually happen. I don't like predictive storylines and I wasn't disappointed, this kept me on my toes. To me this series is a must recommend, it only gets better as it goes on and it's just as good watching it a second time around.
Great delivery time, The Vampire Diaries - Seasons 1-3 arrived within the week. I wasn't sure if this was going to be my thing, but have to say it's addictive. Especially the sarcasm from the character Damon he has me and my partner in stitches for most of the episodes! It's definitely a must see!
