2012 is a good film. The CGI is pretty good, although some of the flying escapism is a bit far fetched. It's still entertaining though.
Amazing special effects. The story is rather basic ( the end of the world ) but the characters are charming. For once that the Americans do not save the world that changes a little. To see and see again only for the scene of leak in limousine.
2012 is mind blowing from start to finish. Full-on, exciting, fast paced action, this is the disaster movie you have been waiting for! Where else can you see a limousine rushing away from an earthquake, or a plane trying to escape a huge volcanic ash cloud? 2012 delivers non stop action, fantastic storyline, jaw dropping effects and a guaranteed good time!
One of the most anticipated movies, 2012 tells us the story of the end of the world according to the Mayan civilization. Starring John Cusack (as Jackson Curtis), who is a science fiction novel writer, father of two children and divorced to his wife Amanda Peet (as Kate Curtis). In the begining of the movie, Jackson Curtis' initial situation is presented, as a father of two, ex-husband and a writer. As he takes his kids to camping vacation, some weird events start happening declaring the start of natural disasters such as earthquakes volcano eruptions ect.. The critics have had different opinions on that movie, i personaly think that graphics-wise the movie is emperial. The special effects are very hardly worked, even if sometimes the hero survives irationaly, after all it's a hollywood movie. It's amazing to see cities destroyed and extremely famous buildings crushed and tsunamis covering continents and volcano's erupting making earth look like hell and earthquakes dividing our planet. Yet the story-line could be a little bit disapointing as i expect it to be more realistic. Anyhow, the movie is a must-watch and not one to miss, after all it gathered 225 $ million in it's opening weekend and 767 $ million overall. To any '' day after tomorrow '' lovers, this is NOT the movie to miss, as for me, it is the best apocalyptic movie to date.
