This story is one of the few that the BBC did not wipe from the archives (and I'm sure they are glad that they didnt). The Dominators is a classic Dr Who story from the black and white era of television - colour didnt arrive until the following year. It features the 2nd Doctor played by Patrick Troughton in his unique style of floppiness and high intelligence. His two companions featured are Jamie - a kilt wearing Scot from 1745 and Zoe a 21st century brainy astro-physicist. What a mix! But this is Doctor Who and it works. The monsters might appear heavy and lumbersome but the Quarks are definitely unique and cunning and certainly remembered. Great performances from all involved especially Patrick Troughton excelling his scientific deductions of the danger he and his companions face. Enjoy 60's television at its best.
