The world has many 3d films..... but only one God

I was dubious about watching this film, thinkoing that it was for children, but i needn't have worried. Excellent special effects and an enthralling story. A definitive must-buy for anyone with 3d technology.

Good movie

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Being a comic book fan when I was younger, I am always interested to see how the superheroes are transferred to the big screen. Adaptions from books or comics are very rarely able to capture all the detail adequately to make them a complete triumph but I was not too disappointed, This movie was very watchable and the finishing scene set us up quite nicely for The Avengers due out next year! Price-wise, this is good value for money as you are getting all 4 formats for just a couple of pounds more. This is particularly valid if you are planning to upgrade from a dvd player to a blu-ray, or blu-ray to 3D blu-ray anytime soon.

Thor Blu-Ray

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I wanted to watch at the cinema, but missed it. So, happy to by the blu-ray. Overall, I enjoyed it. However, I was left feeling that this was more of an all too brief introduction into Thor's world and build up to the Avengers movie. I would like to see the film studies put some real effort into comic book hero films, as there are afterall, a whole group of fans from 5 year olds to 40 year old and beyond who actually love and care passionately about this stuff. So, an extra hour in the film to build on Thor and Asgaard would have been nice. And a message to Marvel...please remake Ghost Rider and give the fans some say!!

Thor 3D bluray

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I'm quite new to the 3D home cinema. Although I am a regular cinema goer and have seen quite a few movies in 3D. This will be my third 3D bluray movie and the first non animated one. First of all, let me explain my setup- I have a ps3, running through a Samsung 5.1 surround system and a Samsung full hd led tv. I decided to invite a friend round who had bought and watched his 2D version of this film. And suffice to say, by the end of it, he said that blew him away. Some scenes were so visually stunning that it felt like the person was standing a few feet away! I loved the film when it came out, and was just as good second time around. Admittedly, when compared to my other 3D blurays, Megamind and Tangled, the 3D is not always as obvious, but that's just the difference between animated cgi and real humans acting. The animated movies will ALWAYS look absolutely fantastic in 3D. But make no mistake, at the price paid of 17.99 and including the 3D & 2D bluray, DVD, and digital copy, it is great value for money and an excellent addition to anyone 3D collection!!
